Restaurant: Kitchen Katta – MSR Road, Ashwath Nagar, Bengaluru, IN.
As their branding said, it was as authentic and as homely as one could get!
Great Maharashtrian cuisine foods served and each is an item not to be missed. With simple, yet very welcoming interiors, this tiny place is a gem on the MSR Road. Located more towards Sanjay Nagar, it is away from the usual food joint area of the Ramaiah College periphery and one could easily miss out finding this on a casual move.
On our table for the evening were Misal Pav, Kholapuri Bhel, Shrikhand and Kokum Sharbath.
Misal Pav: Misal was rightly spicy, had enough quantity of sprouts and was with good consistency. On the other hand, the pav was good and soft. Finding a place that serves Misal Pav in the evening was a happy moment.
Kholapuri Bhel: The first sight of it made the mouth water non-stop 😛 It was made of thick n short Puri and topped with super thin Sev. With great mixture of spiciness, sweetness, tangy-ness, I enjoyed every spoon of it.
Shrikhand: Being a lover of this sweet, one must serve me good serving to satisfy me! This place’s rich creamy shrikhand with lovely elaichi flavour was a delicious treat. First taste gave me a hint of minty blast!
Kokum Sharbath (not in pic): It was mild and tangy, while the masala was flavourful. Wished the drink was served chilled for a better experience.
Recently, they have started serving Breakfast too! And note that, the restaurant is closed on Sunday!! Oh yes, the woman entrepreneur has to obey the kids at home! 😛
